The Estates at Lone Mountain Unveils Gable Box Luxury Design

Las Vegas, NV – Templeton Development is introducing a new architectural concept to the Las Vegas luxury home market with the debut of the Gable Box at The Estates at Lone Mountain, a premier custom home community in Northwest Las Vegas.

Blending inspiration from mountain architecture with modern design principles, the Gable Box reinterprets the traditional gabled roof into a refined, contemporary structure designed specifically for desert living. While gabled rooflines are commonly associated with colder climates, this project brings a fresh perspective to high-end residential design in Southern Nevada.

The upcoming residence will feature seven bedrooms across a two-story layout, with a design approach that prioritizes both functionality and elevated living. The project is a collaboration between Templeton Development and Architect Robert F. Tyler of RFT Design.

According to the design team, the goal was to create a strong architectural presence while maintaining warmth and livability. The exterior showcases a simplified gable form with clean lines, complemented by a mix of stone, wood, and metal materials that create depth and contrast.

Inside, the home is centered around an expansive great room with vaulted ceilings, allowing natural light to move freely throughout the space. The open layout connects seamlessly to a modern kitchen designed for both daily use and entertaining, anchored by a large central island.

Supporting spaces such as a prep kitchen, butler’s pantry, and additional storage areas are integrated to enhance functionality without interrupting the main living areas. A separate dining space offers a more private setting while remaining easily accessible from the kitchen.

The main level is designed to operate like a single-story home, with primary living spaces, including the owner’s suite, located on the ground floor. The primary suite is positioned for privacy and features a spa-style bathroom with dual areas, a large shower and bath combination, and access to an outdoor shower.

Additional spaces on the main level include a private office, wine room, and multiple ensuite bedrooms, each with direct access to the outdoors. A drop zone provides a practical connection between the kitchen and a four-car garage.

The upper level expands the home’s flexibility with a loft area and additional ensuite bedrooms, making it well-suited for guests or multi-generational living.

Outdoor design plays a significant role in the overall concept, with the property planned to include a fully landscaped yard, pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, and dedicated spaces for relaxation and entertaining. A detached RV garage with an attached game room adds another layer of functionality to the property.

The Estates at Lone Mountain spans approximately 40 acres at the base of Lone Mountain and is developed by Templeton Development. The community offers a range of homesites, including one-acre, three-quarter-acre, and half-acre options, allowing for both fully custom homes and thoughtfully designed spec residences.

Each homesite within The Estates at Lone Mountain is delivered construction-ready, with infrastructure, grading, and utilities already in place. Templeton Development has also completed off-site improvements, helping streamline the building process for future homeowners. The community features a maintained landscape and trail system supported by a low monthly HOA.

The Gable Box project is currently in the final stages of preparation, with construction expected to begin following permit approval.
