Teton Expeditions redefines family wildlife tours in Grand Teton & Yellowstone

Teton Expeditions Relaunches in Jackson Hole, Inviting Families to “See It Together”

Jackson, United States – May 21, 2026 / Teton Expeditions /

JACKSON HOLE, WY — Teton Expeditions is returning to Jackson Hole with a simple idea at the center of its new chapter: families should not just visit Grand Teton and Yellowstone. They should see them together.

Re-founded by Jeff Tibbitts and Evan Toal, Teton Expeditions brings more than 50 combined years of guiding, outfitting, and wildlife interpretation in the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. The company is new in its current form, but its roots reach back to the 1970s, when David Tibbitts helped shape a style of guiding built on knowledge, humility, patience, and respect for the land.

David Tibbitts was Jeff’s father. He was also one of the first people to show both Jeff and Evan what guiding could be when it was done right. Not as a transaction. Not as a checklist. But as a genuine act of helping people understand and love a place.

“We know what it looks like when this is done right,” said co-founder Evan Toal. “We built this company around that vision.”

Teton Expeditions offers half-day and full-day guided wildlife tours of Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, with pickup and drop-off throughout the Jackson Hole area. Tours are designed for small groups, families, multi-generational travelers, and guests who want a more personal way to experience the parks.

The company’s new message, “See It Together,” reflects the kind of experience Teton Expeditions is built to deliver. A child seeing a moose for the first time. Grandparents watching bison move across the valley. Parents finally slowing down long enough to understand what they are looking at. The goal is not just to show guests wildlife. The goal is to create a shared memory that stays with the whole family.

“The parks are for everyone,” said co-founder Jeff Tibbitts. “But not everyone experiences them the same way. We want families, older travelers, and first-time visitors to feel comfortable, curious, and included from the moment they step into the vehicle.”

That guest-first approach shapes every part of the company. Tours are intentionally paced. Questions are encouraged. Guides are selected not only for knowledge, but for character, patience, and the ability to connect with guests across generations. Many guides come from backgrounds in natural history, science education, outdoor leadership, and wildlife interpretation.

For families, that means the natural world is made accessible to every age. For older travelers, it means no rushed timelines, no crowded buses, and no sense that a question or a slower pace is an inconvenience. Every tour is built around connection: to the land, to the wildlife, to the guide, and to one another.

The Greater Yellowstone ecosystem is one of the most remarkable wild landscapes in North America. Grizzly bears, wolves, bison, elk, moose, pronghorn, eagles, and countless other species live in a place shaped by geology, conservation, migration, and generations of stewardship. Teton Expeditions exists to help guests understand that larger story.

“Every family that spends a day in the parks with one of our guides is a potential steward,” Tibbitts said. “Every kid who sees a moose cross a river for the first time is a future advocate. That is what this is really about.”

Teton Expeditions is now booking tours for the 2026 season. Half-day and full-day wildlife tours are available for Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Private tours and group rates are available for families, multi-generational travel parties, and special occasions.

New focus. Right people. Fifty years in the making.
