The new brand signals where the company is headed next: deeper into infrastructure, program governance and transparency for health plans managing publicly funded transportation benefits.
Kinetik was founded in the back office of a Brooklyn transportation company, where the problems in NEMT were highly visible: trip logs on paper, dispatchers juggling phone calls, drivers waiting 60 to 90 days to get paid and health plans with no way to independently verify any of the data. Kinetik responded to the problem with the technology to digitize trips, verify with GPS and generate claims from verified data.
What started as a technology solution grew into a closed-loop infrastructure (a single system connecting scheduling, verification, claims and payment) that connects health plans, transportation providers and members across the full trip lifecycle, with verified data at every step. Nine years later, Kinetik’s infrastructure has processed more than 13 million trips and $1.1 billion in NEMT claims, serving more than 1.5 million members, with network coverage across 44 states through 20+ dispatch partners.
